Article: WHICH PASTOR WOULD YOU CHOSE?
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? (Romans 10:14)
For some Pastors, Sunday morning service is "business as usual" because they run the church like a business. For some Pastors, they are accompanied by a hustle-bustle minded assistant who provides them with the "number of members in the house" before he steps out behind the pulpit. For some Pastors it is a hectic morning of preparing his "agenda" without little conversing with the Holy Spirit and asking what He (The Holy Spirit) would like said for that Sunday morning service. For some Pastors it's a last sip of an energy drink, a plastered smile, well-pressed suit and every hair in place image-- last look in the full length mirror, before he steps out on the Mega-Church Platform with television cameras at every angle catching his perfect profile with just the right lighting on stage behind his pulpit.
And then there is a small "minority of Pastors" who have been up in the early morning hours on their face before the Father, seeking what He would have him preach to the people. His heart's cry is that he would never alleviate or stray from the truth that sets the captives free no matter how unpopular, uncomfortable or potentially "offensive" truth may be to the members of his congregation. But He is a true Man of God who has been called to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ-- not man's version, public or trending opinion, or societal influence-- only the unadulterated truth of God. This Pastor knows the heart of God and regardless of how much of a challenge it may be to preach the truth that can sometimes hurt, but produces results for the Kingdom of God, he approaches the pulpit in humility and with a message from the Father and not of his own agenda. This is the Pastor that God was talking about in Romans 10:14. God has commissioned and ordained this man of God and this Pastor has remained faithful in never making his sermons about him, but always seeking to serve fresh manna from heaven.
In these last days folks are not going to settle for "performances" or "song and dance" sermons anymore - unless they are of the Apostate Church and this is the place where their ears are being itched. True Christians are going to want to get back to the basics of just being taught what the Word of God says about how to live their lives. The preacher is going to remind them of a real place called hell and of a place called heaven and what you need to do to stay out of the one and enter into the other and assure you have your name written in the Lamb's Book of Life. The Praise and Worship will be pure, holy and consist of love songs to our King Jesus and the music will soften the hearts of every member in the congregation - readying them with an atmosphere of inviting the movement of the Holy Spirit into their midst. They will want nothing less than to hear the unadulterated word of God - no man's creative agenda or slant on truth, and no watered-down versions of the bible either. There will be unity and one vision led by a true man of God, a Pastor, who seeks God will all of his heart, and carries forth the fresh manna from heaven and properly distributes it to God's people.
Which Pastor would I choose? The aforementioned Man of God who is willing to distribute the fresh manna from heaven; and who preaches the uncompromising, unadulterated Word of God. Bless this kind of Pastor - God bless all of you Pastors out there who have been defined here in my article and referred to as a "minority of Pastors" who are doing the right thing behind the pulpit. For great is your reward in heaven for your obedience in sharing the "truth that sets the captives free".
May God raise up such Pastors who will not compromise, cower under societal trends of perversion, or seek to establish building their own legacy or empire here on earth. But they do the Will of the Father and give Him ALL of the glory!
God bless you My beloved, .
