ARTICLE: THE SAINTS ARE "GATHERING THE 
BRUSHWOOD" FOR REVIVAL FIRES

🛳Acts 27 tells us the story of how Apostle Paul, along with an officer, soldiers and prisoners aboard a ship, are sailing toward Rome; for God had told Paul he was to appear before the Roman Emperor. 🌊Along the journey, a fierce storm arises; causing a great threat to the lives of everyone on board. An angel of the Lord appears before Paul, giving him the assurance, that although the ship would be destroyed, no lives would be lost. The men on board agree to give heed to Paul's advisement following the shipwreck and they find safety on The Island of Malta; a small isle of islanders with a governor named Publius.

ACTS 28:1-10 
⛈Following the shipwreck, Apostle Paul and the ship's survivors were greeted with unusual kindness by the islanders on Malta; and they were encouraged to gather around a fire because of the rain and cold. Paul began gathering brushwood for the fire, when a poisonous snake 🐍latched onto his hand; with a venomous bite. When the islanders saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said to each other, "This man must be a murderer! He may have escaped from the sea, but justice won't let him live."

Now this is where the story really gets good my friends! 🔥Apostle Paul shook the snake into the fire and didn't get harmed. After the islanders waited a long time, and saw nothing unusual happening to him, they changed their minds and said he was a god. Publius, the governor of the island, had property around the area. He welcomed and treated Paul and the men with kindness, and for three days they were his guests. 🤒His father happened to be sick in bed. He was suffering with fever and dysentery. Paul went to him, prayed, placed his hands on him, and made him well.😀

After this happened many other sick people went to Paul and were healed. They showed great respect in many ways to Paul and the men, and when they were preparing to set sail, they gave whatever Paul and the others needed for their journey to Rome.🛳

My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, The Body of Christ must be "gathering brushwood" regardless of "the snake's" presence. The "brushwood " we gather will draw "the snake out". The "snake" will be cast in "the fire", while at the same, the "brushwood" will ignite "revival fires" here in America. (And brethren, we desperately need a spiritual awakening in The United States of America...AMEN?)

Saints of God, in our "gathering", we must first include prayer and fasting. As we are obedient in doing these two things, we must also go forth with the "LOVE" of Jesus Christ; the "AUTHORITY" we have in the Name of Jesus Christ; the "POWER" of the Blood of Jesus Christ; our "DECLARATION" of the Word of our Testimony; our being "EQUIPPED" with The Sword of Truth and The Armor of God; and our "OBEDIENCE" in "SUBMISSION" to the "LEADING " of The Holy Spirit and His power (signs, miracles and wonders). The aforementioned IS the "brushwood" we are "gathering" together "for such a time as this"...God is requiring His Church to rise up: Take your POSITION; Remain alert (spiritually awake) in READINESS; and Be OBEDIENT in what The Holy Spirit instructs you to do in these last days.

BACK TO THE STORY: 
While there, other sick people went to Paul and they too, were made well. 🎉You can bet "revival" broke out on the Island of Malta. Duly note that Paul and the ship's passengers endured a fierce (great) storm before experiencing the "revival fires" on the Island of Malta. Case in point my friends: Before any great revival has occurred throughout the history of Jesus Christ and Christendom, great "persecution" has come. My beloved, Satan will always attempt to stop the demonstration of God's "power" and "revival"-- HOWEVER, as we, God's People know, Satan WILL BE tossed into "the lake of fire" 🐍🔥for all eternity; and may every believer in Jesus Christ realize the very "brushwood" we have gathered will be what God is using to "drive out the devil"-- and God says, "My Children, I will be the One who will "shake the serpent" (Satan) from My Mighty hand and cast him into the eternal fires". Glory to EL EYON (God Most High) forever and ever Amen!
