Hebrews 5:12-14 "For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil".
My beloved, there are several reasons why I feel compelled to talk about "spiritual food"; "the milk of the world" versus "solid food" (or what some would call "the meat of the Word"). In all due fairness, we are all at different levels in our walk with Jesus Christ: some "babes in the faith", and others who have been Christians for some time and are referred to as "mature in faith". Duly note we ALL must first learn to crawl, then walk and then run....and we ALL begin as "babies in faith in Jesus Christ" and we sup on the "spiritual milk" because this is all we can ingest and digest in our ability to understand God's Word.
Then there are those who have gone from supping on "the milk of the Word" because they are now able to ingest and digest the "Meat of the Word" and they understand the deeper revelations of God's Word. With this truth being given with greater clarity, let us embrace the aforementioned passage of scripture that says that "the mature" (who sup on "the meat of the Word" (paraphrased), should be teachers of the Word, but instead they "have need again" for someone to teach them the elementary principles of the oracles of God and have come to need "milk and not solid food".
These aforementioned words are true in the lives of many Christians who were once spiritually healthy, because their daily lives included their consisted eating of the solid (Meat of the Word)--READING THE BIBLE and receiving divine understanding and revelation of those things they read on a daily basis. They, in turn, were healthy enough to teach the "babes in the Lord". The sad truth is there are those who are calling themselves the "mature" in Christ (and should likely be as such) but they have spent far too much time throwing childish tantrums, and acting spiritually immature due to the fact that they have set aside the very things that have made them "mature in the Lord"; they find themselves back to the need to learn elementary principles of God and they forfeit the "maturity" and their place to teach others the oracles of God. What occurs when we see those who should be spiritual leaders, but have fallen back into childlike ways, is these men (and women) have stopped "eating the meat of the Word"-- they have stopped reading God's Word, praying, attending church and having fellowship (and perhaps serving in the church in leadership) or heading up a Bible Study in a home setting. IT IS TIME FOR THE MATURE IN CHRIST TO RISE UP AND LEAD AS GOD HAS CALLED US TO DO SO.
I recently received a comment that was left on my ministry (YouTube - podcast). The "comment" initially stunned and "stung" me greatly. A young man left a message that simply read: "Why do you have a homosexual spiritual all over you? I knew you were a homosexual the first time I saw your podcast".
I initially felt wounded and my impulse was to go to the archives of my YouTube Podcasts and delete all of them (and never do any podcasts again - which I believe the enemy would love to see happening). The last thing I have ever wanted to do was to serve as a misrepresentation of Father God's Transforming Power; with much evidence that I (and others - family and friends) KNOW He has done in my life. I didn't want to discredit both Father God's ability to transform a life (from the old man into a new creation in His Son Jesus Christ) and I didn't want to be a failure in The Call that I know with every ounce of my being, He has placed on my life. This was a great example of whether or not we truly believe in the transformation power that God has done and is faithful to continue to do in our lives - AMEN!
In truth, someone threw a rock into the "Glass House Ministry" that I had built-- a ministry that allowed my testimony to be seen by anyone and everyone - and I wasn't afraid or ashamed to testify the awesome things God has done in my life. But I am realizing that the time has come when I need to tear down ANY and ALL walls that would keep me from going out and beyond (expanding my territory) (The Prayer of Jabez) in order to be more effective in reaching the lost for Jesus. AMEN!
Back to the "Stone of Accusation" that was made by this young man. The "stone" hurt and the shattered "glass" that lay at the same feet I had used in going forth and sharing the "Good News" (My testimony), crunched under my feet as I paced in deep contemplation of what i should say in response to this young man's assessment of me as a person on a YouTube podcast. But suddenly, in that moment, when I questioned how I would respond to this young man's comment, I did two things, I reread the message and decided I was going to conduct an honest "assessment of the situation to see whether or not there was anything I was doing that would make this young man believe I still had a gay spirit over me, and I prayed. Father God knows the last thing I would ever want to do is to misrepresent Him and do or say anything that would discredit the incredible work He has done in my life. So I was very careful the way I responded back to this young man.
I began by first thanking him for sharing his comment with me and assured him that if there was anything that would be misrepresentation on my part to the incredible testimony Father God had given to me I would immediately tend to that issue. Again, I ended my response with a sincere thank you. Well, I received a response to my comment to this young ma, and he continued to state that I had a homosexual spirit on me with my physical appearance: my wearing toner (for the sake of the camera so I don't look like a ghost during the broadcast, and that my nails needed trimming. It was becoming clear that the young man was on a mission to somehow discredit my podcasts presentations. But I was open and prepared to continue to, not debate or argue with the young man, but rather, chose to speak truth to him.
He was indeed correct about my needing to find a pair of clippers and clip away at what had become "claws"-- So I lovingly responded back to this same young man with kind, but firm, words by using scriptures and explaining that we, as Christians (assuming he was), should be careful to not make accusations against other Christians regarding whether we think they are still involved in some sin of their path - for we must not forget that "God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in all of us until the coming of His Son Jesus Christ (1 Phil. 1:6). This is not to say I am not at teachable, but the Bible says there will be scoffers and mockers as well -- so discernment from the Holy Spirit is crucial. Self examination can be beneficial as long as we don't find ourselves discouraged in the things that God is still working on in each of us. Remember, God's desire (and goal) is lead us into ALL truth and that we would continue to strive towards becoming more like the image of His son Jesus Christ. Amen?
I again thanked the young man and explained that when God cast out a homosexual spirit out of me, He didn't cast out my personality as well. Allow me to clarify that, yes, I do believe God will place his finger on certain things in our lives that are not bringing glory to Himself or to Jesus Christ, but I also believe God has given each of us our own personalities-- and He uses our different personalities to minister truth to a group of people that we are assigned to reach in efforts of leading them to Jesus; my personality may not reach some "macho biker group", but God has someone who can and WILL do so for the advancement of God's Kingdom. CAN I GET AN "AMEN"" FROM ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE IN CHRISTENDOM WHO UNDERSTANDS AND BELIEVES WHAT I AM SAYING PLEASE"?
DULY NOTE: When God delivers a man or woman from the homosexual lifestyle are there various inappropriate behaviors and bad habits that He will remove in His transformation power (and on His timing) - ABSOLUTELY! But I do i believe when He cast out a demon, that He cast out the person's personality as well? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Why? I have already shared my thoughts on why I believe He allows us to maintain the personality we were born with-- It is simple - He will use you and your personality to reach a specific people, just as He will use others personalities for their "group" or "harvest field" He assigns to them. But casting out our distinct personalities, I believe, is NONSENSE!. Such thoughts or beliefs are coming from individuals who have their own demons to address (the Spirits of Religion and Intellectualism.)
Disclosure Inserted: As I always say, please test the spirits and May the Holy Spirit provide you with truth and clarity in what I believe in regards to God and His not casting out our birth-given personalities!
I concluded by lovingly warning this man to make certain that he "judged a man or woman by their fruit" (Matthew 7:16) and not based on our own opinions, prejudices or fears. I assured him that I was a born-again, Spirit-filled "Redeemed-by-the precious Blood of Jesus", Christian and in accordance with Philippians 1:6 "God is faithful to complete the work He has done in me until the coming of Jesus Christ". We are ALL under construction and God is faithful in completing the work in US! If there be ANYTHING in me that does not bring GLORY AND HONOR TO JESUS CHRIST AND OUR HEAVENLY FATHER, May The Holy Spirit remove it far from me in Jesus' Name!
My beloved, I learned a valuable lesson in this situation, I could have been insulted and blocked the individual from my website, but instead, I thanked him for what he pointed out to me, and I was willing to seek to see if there was any truth to his accusations, and then I went with what The Word of God says about what he was saying. Many times, some Christians just snub their noses at these kinds of comments and chalk them up as personal attacks, but we need to see such comments as an opportunity for "self examination" and to get into The Word of God-- to embrace such confrontations as an opportunity to minister the truth of God. This man doesn't know me-- the Old man is dead, and praise God, the newly improved me (The Christian is alive in Christ, HALLELUJAH!
I pray that my sharing this article today will encourage, inspire and bless anyone else who finds someone casting judgment on them-- and "accusing" or "questioning whether you are a true Christian ("a new creation in Christ" (2 Corinthian 5:17); or if, perhaps we need to examine ourselves to ensure we are not reverting backwards in any " residuals of The Old Man" and therefore, our identity in Christ may seem a "bit cloudy" and may not be representing Jesus Christ to the fullest the way we should be:. This is not to say we are NOT Christians folks! A good examination to ensure we are walking in the Gifts of the Spirit is a good thing that we ALL should do at times. But remember, it is not about our "good works" or "performing to please man". With all of this being said, "I PRAISE GO THAT I AM A NEW CREATION IN CHRIST JESUS FOR THE OLD IS PAST AND BEHOLD ALL IS NEW!!: Read the following scriptures: Matthew 7:16; 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Galatians 5:17) These passages of Truth helped me to stand firm, in love and truth, when in this recent confrontation. Embrace such things as a great opportunity to be reminded of just who you ARE IN CHRIST JESUS and the work He has done and accomplished because of the Blood He Shed on the Cross at Calvary -- FOR THOSE OF US WHO BELIEVE!
Have a blessed and fruitful week my beloved family and friends! May The Favor of Father God be yours in all you say and do, and with everyone you come into contact with - be blessed and be a blessing. Love you all very much!
