SPIRITUAL FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY HEAR OF CHRISTIANS "COMPASSION" IN OUR "OFFERS OF PRAYER" AND THEY ALSO HEAR US SPEAK "CONDEMNATION AND JUDGING IN OUR "UNWILLINGNESS TO CONDONE AND ENDORSE THE HOMOSEXUAL LIFESTYLE". IS THIS A RECIPE FOR WHAT THEY MAY PERCEIVE AS "CHRISTIAN HYPOCRISY" IN THEIR EYES AND UNDERSTANDING?
I recently saw a FB insertion; in a comic strip form, of a character who was a self described homosexual. She was angrily saying, "One minute you Christians are condemning us for our choice of being homosexual, and the next, you are saying you have compassion and you are "praying for us". Which is it guys: Compassion or Condemnation?
1). Christian Love and Compassion does not lessen our stance on believing what God thinks of the Sin of Homosexuality. Leviticus 18:22 says "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."
NOTE: Many homosexuals often say "if you don't accept my sexuality, then you don't accept me for who I am". As a former homosexual, I used to say this same thing. However, in truth, our sexuality is A CHOICE and IS NOT Our IDENTITY. For example, when I introduce myself to new people I meet, I don't say, "Hello I'm "Heterosexual Jay". Or "Hello, I'm Jay and I'm a Former Homosexual".
What makes up one's identity is their personality; appearance; intellect; talents; goals and objectives; relationships (family, friends, colleagues and associates); passions and dreams; aspirations and what inspires a person in making choices day to day, with hopes of becoming successful in all his or her endeavors.
2). As Christians, our LOVE AND COMPASSION for the LGBTQ citizens here in America and throughout the world is authentic. And yet, our genuine love is discarded and immediately rejected by the LGBTQ, because Christians refuse to endorse and condone the homosexual lifestyle; again, I reiterate, GOD calls the sin of Homosexuality an abomination. The LGBTQ community has to realize GOD is the One who says this in His Word (The Holy Bible) and not something any man has determined. But the LGBTQ community is not the only human beings who are having to deal with man's sinful nature. EVERY MAN, WOMAN and CHILD sins on a daily basis in this world. Romans 3:22-24 says, "...And this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no distinction, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus".
The ONLY WAY any of US are FORGIVEN in the EYES OF GOD IS through THE PRECIOUS BLOOD that HIS only begotten Son, JESUS CHRIST, shed on the CROSS AT CALVARY. HE DIED for YOU and I so IN HIS WILLINGNESS TO SURRENDER HIS LIFE ON BEHALF OF MANKIND, WE ARE ABLE TO GO BEFORE OUR HEAVENLY FATHER. John 14:6 tells us, "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". NONE OF US CAN COME TO OUR HEAVENLY FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH JESUS! If YOU are sincerely REPENTANT of ALL of your sins, then you can ask Jesus Christ into your heart and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:13 says, "for Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
TRUE REPENTANCE OF ALL OF OUR SIN REQUIRES ACKNOWLEDGING WHAT OUR "SIN" IS. This is where we need to get into the unadulterated, uncompromising Word of God (not some "new version" like The Queen James Version that has altered or omitted what the LGBTQ refers to as "The Clobber Passages" (any holy scriptures that mention homosexuality). They refuse to accept and acknowledge homosexuality as a sin and therefore, they see no need for repentance. THIS IS WHY WE CHRISTIANS PRAY FOR THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY-- THAT THEIR EYES WOULD BE OPEN TO "THE TRUTH THAT SETS THE CAPTIVES FREE" (John 8:32).
There may be SOME Christians with unwavering and passionate faith who may share this TRUTH with strong personal opinions. But we encourage the LGBTQ community to see that our sharing TRUTH about their need for Repentance and Salvation has nothing to do with "hate speech" or bigotry, but rather, we share the TRUTH, because we desire to love them out of the bondage of sexual sin and lead them into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father; Our Creator who has an "Original Blueprint" for every man, woman and child-- and until TRUTH opens the eyes of anyone from the LGBTQ community, he or she will be living "Satan's deceptive Tainted Counterfeit Blueprint" that convinces the LGBTQ community that their "being homosexual" is what they were born to be! IT'S ALL LIES AND DECEPTION and as a former gay man, I too bought into Satan's lies and deception. I believed that Christians were the "Nemesis" of "Satan's Misfits"; and I too believed I needed to do everything to "safeguard" my homosexuality like a prize trophy in the "Devil's Trophy Case". Anyone who said anything that conflicted with my sense of what I believed was legitimate justification was "the enemy".
NOTE: When I was living my life as a gay man, I didn't believe it at the time, but someone told me "Jay, I love you enough to tell you the Truth that will save you from eternity in Hell. God sees homosexuality as an abomination; a sin that, without repentance and accepting Jesus Christ WILL NOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN". I'll be very honest with you, I was mad as hell fire, but deep within me I knew what this Christian was saying was "TRUTH that sets the captives free" (John 8:32). Deep inside of my stony and callous heart, I knew my eyes were suddenly being open to Truth. This was the beginning of a series of incredible events that lead me to Father God's "Transformational Power". I suddenly recognized that the Sin of Homosexuality was not Father God's plan for my life. A little less than two years later, I married the very Christian who told me the truth of my sin and introduced me to The Lord Jesus Christ. If Father God can do this for me, then He can do it for others who are currently living in the homosexual lifestyle. Let us continue to pray for the LGBTQ community -- there is great POWER IN PRAYER....I know because I wouldn't be the man I am in Christ Jesus without it! May you all have a blessed weekend! Share JESUS with someone today!
SELAH and Amen!
