ARTICLE: MY SOLE DESIRE
Have you ever stopped for a moment and given attention and thought to the reason why Father has created us? I know for me, I have spent far too much time on ME, MYSELF and I. Most would say that "life IS about ourselves, and although this would be partially true, I would challenge all of us to see life as much more than being about ourselves. Truth be told, you and I have been created for "fellowship and communion with God, our Creator". I know it is challenging to imagine this truth, because so many of us just take life as it has been given to us...to "live" a life that is a compilation of decisions (wrong or right, good or bad) we make a long the journey; a journey where we learn quickly of the rules that seem to dictate that "only the strong survive" or "it's a dog eat dog world". We begin with crawling and learn to walk and later on in life, we find ourselves running and oftentimes back to crawling again-- crawling out of the pitfalls we find ourselves falling into, because of the realization that no one's footage is perfectly conformed for all of the terrain life offers on the many "paths" that lie in front of us. We spend more time with our eyes on ourselves and our own needs; darting forward, behind and on all sides, all in attempts to safeguard what we have claimed ownership of and have placed "value" in; our careers, our property and materialism and even our relationships. We learn at an early age who to allow in our "sandbox" and who we allow to "play with our toys". This mentality doesn't change as we grow older-- as we make "sand castles" in our career choices--we still determine who we will allow to play in our established "adult sand boxes". We also have our "toys" we collect in our adult toy boxes (garages (cars/trucks); houses (furniture and housewares); offices (promotional opportunities and relationships) and banking establishments (checking, savings and IRA Accounts). But where in all of the aforementioned do we take time to stop and cultivate our faith and relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ? Many of us Christians get so busy with life that we make little to no time to nurturing our relationships with God, JESUS, or The Holy Spirit. Establishing an ongoing relationship and walk with all three (Father, Son and The Holy Spirit) are crucial in receiving divine wisdom and instruction of Father God's plans and purpose for your lives. Again, our lives are not for us to go out and "live" -- many are doing so by the seat of their pants-- life can be tough and cruel and Christians have the advantage in that we have The Holy Spirit to give us guidance and direction (and divine wisdom) on how to walk daily and to fulfill ALL of "the abundant life" we have been given in Jesus Christ-- we must be reminded that our redemption, salvation and access to the Father only comes through Jesus Christ and His dying on the cross "Once-For-ALL" and He was buried and rose again in the third day AND HE NOW SITS AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER IN HEAVEN -- HE is interceding on our behalf-- it is an ongoing event on behalf of ALL of the Saints of God. When was the last time you stopped to remember that through Jesus, You and I are blood-bought Saints of God? This is a powerful advantage in a world full of self absorbed, self-righteous, clueless souls who March up and down the beaten path of life, some oblivious to "truth that sets the captives free", and those who have heard and reject Jesus. In conclusion, again I ask you, "when was the last time you asked Father God what His purpose for your life is while you are still here on this planet?
Here is a final thought to contemplate concerning how you may be living your life right now: "Just know that beyond YOUR obedience to what Father God has been calling you to do in order to advance the Kingdom of Heaven, there are LOST SOULS who have been crying out with their own question: "When will you be obedient? Because I am waiting for you to do what God is calling you to do. Only YOU can reach me! Please be obedient and lead me out of this darkness and into the marvelous light of truth today".
SELAH and AMEN! Go in obedience to the leading of The Holy Spirit today my beloved family and friends! Be greatly blessed and encouraged on this Monday!
