BIRTH PANGS:

The signs of the Lord's return will be like "birth pangs," in that they will be increasing in frequency and intensity before Jesus returns (Matthew 24:8). Therefore, we can use the "birth pangs" to gauge how close we are to the Lord's return. The "birth pangs" occurring on a regional scale today, will become global in the Tribulation, as described in Revelation 6. When these "birth pangs" begin to have large-scale consequences, on the verge of becoming global, we know the Lord's return is imminent: Wars and Rumors of Wars; World Wars; Earthquakes in Diverse Places; Fearful sights and Great Signs in the Heavens; False Prophets; Pestilences and famines.

WARS AND RUMORS OF WARS: 
Russia and Ukraine, Yemen, Egypt, Israel, Europe, Africa, Venezuela, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia….Wars being waged on the streets, and in homes..in the battle fields..and economies threatened.

EARTHQUAKES IN DIVERSE PLACES: 
A recent study has included that at least 42 US states are at risk for significant earthquakes:

A new study by the U.S. geological society suggests 42 states have a reasonable chance of experiencing damaging ground shaking from an earthquake in the next 50 years.

The 8 states that did not have significant hazard levels are Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. The 16 states at highest risk are Alaska, Arkansas, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. http://www.foxnews.com/…/new-study-suggests-42-states-at-r…/

There have always been serious known areas of risk like the San Andreas fault in California, the New Madrid fault in the Midwest and South, as well as the Yellowstone area.

But, while any of those areas has devastating potential (and with Yellowstone that is not limited to earthquakes), the reality is that nearly all USA states are at known risk, and the 8 that are not considered to be a risk may very well be as well.

Jesus warned about a time earthquakes and troubles:

8 … And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be…troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. (Mark 13:8)

Having a significant risk in 42 USA states certainly is consistent with the warning from Jesus that there will be earthquakes in diverse places.

The USA and many other parts of the world are at greater risk for earthquakes than most imagine.

FEARFUL SIGHTS AND GREAT SIGNS IN THE HEAVENS: Comets Meteorites, The Blood Moons, UFO's, (these are only examples of what the Bible refers to as "fearful sights and great signs in the heavens).

FALSE PROPHETS: But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.

You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD?” If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed."

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. (2 PETER 2:2)
